Robert Conway

I’m Robert Conway, a retired Englishman who has been living in Portugal for the past 8 years. A designer by profession, the Salgueiro da Lomba project is a real labour of love. Once I saw this series of deserted rustic homes nestled in a eucalyptus forest in the heart of the Portuguese countryside, I saw potential. Potential not only for my own restored home, but for the entire village. I am restoring, rebuilding and improving this beautiful spot – sweating blood and tears in the process but seeing really fantastic results.
