Despite the feeling of being tucked away from the world when you’re in the village, the transport connections are great and all you need is close by.

It’s just 5 minutes from a central east to west main road (IC8), one hour from the sea with mile after mile of dune-backed beaches, 1 hour from the Spanish border, 2 hours from Lisbon (1.5hours from the airport) and 2 hours to Porto. Driving 2 hours on first-class motorways is a much nicer experience than on UK roads.
